If you are planning to go to San Diego or LA November 16-17th, plan on sitting in some traffic.  Due to the work on the Santa Margarita Bridge through Pendleton, the coastal lines including the Coaster, MTS, Amtrak, and freight trains will not be running in San Diego County.

Amtrak has said it will provide bus service to the Irvine station (although if you go to book a ticket from SD to LA, it does not make you aware of the situation!) and Coaster riders are encouraged to use the Breeze bus route 101.

The rails should be back up and running for the Monday commute.
