Thanks to all the artists, volunteers, and patrons who attended the 2009 Friends of FireMountain Art Show and Sale this past weekend.
With some amazing art, jewelry, scarves, and other crafty items on hand, the dollars raised for the Spay and Neuter Action Program (SNAP) totalled over $500.
SNAP is San Diego’s Spay/Neuter Action Project, providing low cost spay/neuter clinics and animal welfare education to the underserved multicultural, low-income communities of the county. (We are at Joe Balderama Park in Eastside, Oceanside, twice a month.) SNAP’s goal is to reduce the number of homeless animals who end up in shelters.
If you missed your chance to help out, the Greener Christmas Store will be on site at the Seaside Bazaar in Encinitas on November 21st. The Greener Christmas Store is the brainchild of local artist Kris Nelson and utilizes recycled materials to create holiday ornaments, decorations, and some wonderful holiday gifts- and all of the proceeds benefit SNAP.
