While we may feel like winter never came to Oceanside, spring is already on it’s way. Along with that comes Earth Day and this year the Oceanside Earth Festival will be held April 27th in Downtown Oceanside. But don’t hold out till Earth Day to get your environmental side in check, all through April Green Oceanside will be celebrating sustainability and encouraging environmental stewardship with events and opportunities.

April 5th – donate unwanted items or food to those in need at El Corazon Senior Center.
April 23rd – Attend the inaugural Oceanside Green Business Awards
April 24th – Farmers Market and Sunset Markets are on the road to zero waste as they ditch the plastic bags and styrofoam
April 26th – Learn to build your own compost bins at the El Corazon Senior Center.
April 26th – Used oil filter exchange at O’Reilly Auto Parts on Mission
April 26th – Loma Alta Creek Clean up from 9am-12pm
April 27th – Oceanside Youth will show off their skills at the Create to Educate performances. Sign up to Perform and Win!

There will also be a landscape contest and a master composter workshop among other events to be announced.
