August 4 is the 26th annual National Night Out. This program is intended to pair neighborhoods with the local constables so everyone can get to know one another and help reduce crime. We are very fortunate to have such a low crime rate in our neighborhood
So, rather than having an evening with the police, let’s have an evening with each other! Please come join your neighbors in the cul-de-sac at the northern corner of Avocado and Dunstan on August 4th from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. It will be very informal, and a great opportunity to meet those new neighbors or bond with old ones. Name tags will be provided. Here are some suggestions:
• Bring the kids
• Bring some snacks to share
• Bring a folding chair or a beach chair to sit a spell
• Leave your porch light on
• Share this invitation with your neighbors.
We’ll have a few tables to put food on. We’ll also have a collection for the food bank, so bring a can or box of food if you would like to donate.
We hope you can make this casual, impromptu event. See you there!
