Eternal Hills Meeting Update

Eternal Hills held an informative meeting October 29th, to update on their progress and the beginning of the grading and expansion. Chuck Lowry was on hand at the Eternal HIlls expansion meeting to give a report:

A small group of residents, primarily those who live on Fire Mountain

Eternal Hills Expansion Phase 1- Info Meeting October 29th

Eternal Hills is preparing to commence grading the first phase of the planned expansion. A neighborhood information meeting will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 6pm in the Eternal HIlls offices at 1999 El Camino Real in Oceanside.
Attached is a bit more info and their notification of property owners within 300 feet of their project.

Fire Mountain Resevoir Update

Here’s the latest information on the Fire Mountain Reservoir Reserve (which we used to call the Fire Mountain Water Tower Park).

On May 13th, several Friends of Fire Mountain met with City Staff and Councilman Chavez to report the results of our survey. Of the 400 surveys distributed, we received 97 responses and of these, 89% were positive (and two of the negatives wanted ONLY a dog park, no people park).  In order of popularity, here are the most-wanted features:

  1. Nature walk/jogging Trail
  2. Childrens’ playground
  3. Picnic area
  4. Open play fields
  5. Dog Park
